Q1. Is this legitimate?
Its perfectly normal to have reservations about these types of offers, I definitley did. But it really is legit. The BBC ran a short segment about these types of offers explaining how they are done. You can see it on the homepage!
Q2. What are these 'offers' you talk about?
Once you sign up to The Giveaway Network, you are required to complete an offer by one of the partner companies. These range from betting websites, free book offers, free trials (such as Lovefilm) and much more. This is why the companies do it, its cheap advertising! Once you've completed your offer or free trial you just need some friends and family to do the same. These are 'referrals' and each freebie has a different amount of referrals you need to get your gift! For example an Xbox 360 is just 9 referrals. Everybody knows 9 people, so its easy!
Q3. Is there any obligation?
No obligation at all. You don't have to commit to anything and can quit at any time.
Q4. My referrals aren't working! or My offer says incomplete!
This is usually to do with your cookie settings (which will be explained below) but its easily solved. If you or a friend has completed an offer which hasn't worked simply go to the support pages on The Giveaway Network and tell them! They'll usually ask for a screenshot and the date you completed your offer so send that and it will work.
Important! You can only have one sign up per computer and network computers (such as libraries and internet cafes) do not work.
Heres some help about how to set your cookies in order for you to have no problems completing offers.
1: Before logging into a site, ALWAYS clear your cookies. This is the MAIN problem regarding not getting credit. If you have not cleared your cookies and you have clicked the offer elsewhere you will get credit there instead of on the site you want it.
2: ALWAYS use Internet Explorer or Firefox. Other browsers have known issues with crediting.
3: ALWAYS make sure your cookies are on the lowest setting to accept them all.
And last but not least, if you do not get credit, you need to understand that it is NOT the fault of the site you did it on. This goes for anywhere you do an offer. When you do an offer, if you don't get credit, it is because something on your end did not go correctly. That is why it is VITAL to make sure the above things are done, otherwise you are seriously risking your chances of not getting credit.
